As a songwriter myself, my journey has been shaped by years of storytelling through music. With my band, Cold Leather Seats, I’ve had the opportunity to craft songs that speak to the soul—songs that capture the essence of life’s struggles, joys, and everything in between. Songwriting is more than just words and melodies; it’s a way of making sense of the world, of sharing our experiences and emotions with others in a way that words alone often cannot.
Through The Songwriter’s Seat, I want to shine a light on fellow songwriters who are creating incredible music but may not have the platform they deserve. There is so much talent out there, and this blog, accompanying newsletter and playlists are a space to celebrate those artists. A place to share their stories and songs with listeners who crave authenticity and meaning in their music.
Beyond just a newsletter, my dream is to foster a community—a space where songwriters and music lovers can connect, support one another, and grow together.
